5 Ultimate

It's that time of year again, all your new players' flicks have leveled into catchable throws, your team has bonded and embarrassing nicknames have formed, everything is coming together, and it is now time to order team uniforms.
In the past, my team has always ordered our team uniforms from 5 Ultimate. As far as cost goes, 5 is probably one of the most affordable options. Newer teams struggling with small budgets can turn to 5 for satisfactory uniforms that won't put their players in the poor house. A simple two jersey and shorts combo is priced around $70, and considering I've had the same uniform for the past three years, not too bad of an investment.
Alas, after years of laying out (falling on my face) in the mud and harsh washing/drying situations, these once flawless pieces of fabric are now hardly fit to wear to the local soup kitchen. It is safe to say that I will be investing in a new uniform for the spring season.

As a responsible leader on my team, I have many duties to attend to throughout the year, one of these being, damage control. As much as I love 5 Ultimate and the overall vibe of their company, it has come to my attention that it may be a bit unorganized at times. Last year our team order from 5 Ultimate was mishandled. Beginning with the initial failure to record our payment but success in cashing our check, I was in for a long, angry email filled, extravaganza. I will not go into a detailed explanation of every mistake made over the course of those 2 months, I will just say that our team was very disappointed in the way our business was handled and will not be ordering from 5 this year.
So, in conclusion, if you are looking for a company that can provide decently priced, decent quality apparel, look no further, the people at 5 are generally fun to work with and will try their best to satisfy their customers. If you're looking for a highly dependable, top of the line company, you might want to look elsewhere.

VC Sponsors Missouri Loves Company 2012

One rule I've come to learn during my years of frequenting Ultimate tournaments is, where there are tournaments, there are Ultimate apparel vendors. Some of the more sentimental Ultimate players begin a collection their freshman year; purchasing a jersey for every tournament attended. It's not uncommon for a player to have accumulated over 50 jerseys once they've reached the end of their college Ultimate eligibility. Thats over $1500 worth of jerseys at $30 a pop. Who can blame them though, most of the stuff I've seen at tournaments is creative and eye catching.
I've checked out the gear that VC plans to display at the upcoming MLC tournament this November. The colors are bright and fun, however the design is a bit boring, but thats not VC's fault. So, if you like what you see, crack open that piggy bank and make some room in your closest for another addition!
